Active-C Is Your Choice For A Potent, Buffered Source of Vitamin C
Active-C is buffered with important minerals which eliminate potential irritations of the gut allowing you to take a considerably higher dose than non-buffered Vitamin C formulations. Many people also suffer with a very low pH of the body and Active-C will assist in balancing that excess acidity.
Active-C is created using a "nitrogen blanket," which is simply a room that only contains nitrogen and ZERO oxygen. This process is used to eliminate oxidation of the vitamin. Oxidation is the process of breakdown that is easily noted if you open a banana or bite an apple and leave it on the counter for a couple of hours. The fruit will begin to darken (beginning of decay) due to the oxygen in the air and this same scenario will happen to vitamin C if oxygen is present.
When Vitamin C is made in a room with oxygen (a normal room), the Vitamin C begins to break down during production as well as when the bottle is in the storage facility, during shipment and while on the retail shelf. By the time you open the bottle, the Vitamin C is already in an advanced stage of oxidation making it less potent and therefore less effective. Active-C is not exposed to any oxygen until you open the bottle. This locks in the potency providing quicker results with a lower dosage.

As with any dietary supplement, consult your healthcare practitioner before using this product, especially if you have any of the following conditions: an iron overload disease such as hemochromatosis, glucose-6 phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency, history of kidney stones or kidney failure, are pregnant or nursing, anticipate surgery, take any medications or are otherwise under medical supervision. Intake of large amounts of vitamin C can deplete the body of copper —an essential nutrient. Be sure to maintain adequate copper intake when consuming higher intakes of vitamin C for an extended period of time. Large doses of vitamin C may also cause diarrhea. Vitamin C increases the absorption of iron. This is important to keep in mind if you have an iron overload disease such as hemochromatosis, or hemosiderosis.
